Description
This vintage vase from the Danish porcelain manufactory Bing & Grøndahl is an example of Scandinavian modernism and the design of the 1960s and 1970s. Designed by Trude Barner Jespersen, it has a smooth, milky white ground adorned with a freehand abstract motif in deep brown and bronze tones, suggestive of a flower or leaf, with lustrous accents. The Copenhagen manufactory was known for combining fine porcelain craftsmanship with modern design. This sleek, graceful vase works well with fresh flowers or as a standalone accent in a minimalist or retro interior.
The vase is in impeccable vintage condition. The glossy glazed surface shows no cracks, chips or signs of use. It would appeal to admirers of distinctive Nordic design.
Height: approximately 18 cm.
