Delivery
RARITUS ships within Lithuania, to European Union countries and to selected countries outside the European Union.
Available delivery methods and prices are shown at checkout or, for oversized, exceptionally fragile objects or objects requiring special transport, agreed individually.
Delivery time depends on the destination country, selected delivery method and the nature of the object.
Packaging
Porcelain, ceramics, glass, sculptures, paintings and other fragile or valuable objects are packed individually according to their size, weight, material and fragility.
Where necessary, additional protective materials, double packaging, a custom box or another safer transport solution may be used.
Large and non-standard objects
Delivery of furniture, larger paintings, sculptures and other oversized objects may be arranged individually.
In such cases, the following may be agreed separately with the buyer:
- delivery price;
- transport method;
- insurance;
- delivery time;
- place of handover.
Delivery outside the European Union
RARITUS may also ship to selected countries outside the European Union.
Shipments outside the EU may be subject to:
- import duties;
- import VAT;
- customs brokerage or administration fees;
- other charges imposed by the destination country.
Unless clearly stated otherwise, these charges are not included in the product or delivery price shown on the RARITUS website and are payable by the buyer under the laws of their country.
Buyers are advised to review their country's import rules and possible charges before ordering.
RARITUS is not responsible for delays caused by customs procedures, additional inspections or other import formalities beyond the seller's control.
When required, RARITUS provides the customary commercial documents and other information needed for customs clearance.
Export of art and antique objects
Depending on their age, value, origin and destination, certain art, antique or culturally significant objects may be subject to additional export or import requirements.
In such cases RARITUS may:
- verify whether the object may be exported;
- request additional information from the buyer;
- agree on a different delivery method;
- extend the dispatch period if documents or permits are required;
- decline the order if lawful export or import is not possible.
If an order cannot be completed because of legal export restrictions, the amount paid for the order is refunded.
Damage in transit
If the outer packaging is visibly damaged on arrival, we recommend that you:
- photograph the packaging from several sides before opening it;
- photograph the internal packaging;
- photograph the damaged object;
- retain all packaging;
- contact RARITUS as soon as possible.
This information may be required when resolving the matter with the carrier or insurer.
14-day right of withdrawal
Where provided by law, a consumer who buys at a distance has the right to withdraw from the sales contract without giving a reason within 14 calendar days of receiving the goods.
The buyer must notify RARITUS of the decision to withdraw by a clear statement sent to info@raritus.com.
The buyer may also use the withdrawal form provided on this page.
Returning goods
After notifying RARITUS of withdrawal, the buyer must send or hand back the goods within the period prescribed by law.
Return address:
Žydrūnas Palaikis
Didlaukio g. 21A-28
Vilnius, Lithuania
Before returning a large, fragile or high-value object, please contact RARITUS to agree on a safe return method.
Return costs
If goods of satisfactory quality are returned because the buyer has changed their mind, the direct return costs are paid by the buyer unless RARITUS states otherwise in the individual case.
The return cost of oversized, exceptionally fragile or specially transported objects may be higher than ordinary postal or courier charges.
Condition of returned goods
The buyer may inspect the goods only to the extent necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and condition.
If the object has been handled beyond what is necessary for this inspection and its value has diminished, that loss in value may be assessed.
The returned object must be packed safely.
Particular care should be taken when packing porcelain, ceramics, glass, sculptures, paintings and other fragile or valuable objects.
Returns from outside the EU
When goods are returned from outside the European Union, the buyer must ensure that the shipment is correctly declared as returned goods rather than a new commercial import.
The buyer is responsible for correctly completing export and customs documents in their country.
If incorrect declaration causes RARITUS to incur additional import, customs or administration charges, those amounts may be deducted from the refund to the extent permitted by law.
Refunds
Following withdrawal from a distance contract, the buyer is refunded the price paid for the goods and, where required by law, the cost of standard delivery.
If the buyer selected a delivery method more expensive than the least expensive standard option offered by RARITUS, the additional delivery cost may not be refunded.
Refunds are normally made using the same payment method used for the purchase unless otherwise agreed with the buyer.
RARITUS may withhold the refund until the goods are received or the buyer supplies reliable proof of return, whichever occurs first.
