Description
This vintage Bing & Grøndahl porcelain vase, known as “Trude”, is an example of Scandinavian modernism and late-1960s decorative art. Designed in 1969 by Danish artist Trude Barner Jespersen, it combines clean Nordic lines with an abstract rhythm of earthy tones. Hand-painted brown geometric frames and dark circular medallions stand out against the milky white ground, giving the piece a strong architectural character. The Copenhagen manufactory was known for fine porcelain, and the gently flaring silhouette works beautifully with flowers or as a standalone accent in a minimalist interior.
The vase is in impeccable vintage condition. Its glossy glazed surface shows no cracks, chips or other defects. It would appeal to collectors of understated Scandinavian design.
Height: approximately 19 cm.
